The Board had established a public grievance cell to receive public complaints and to take appropriate action. The public complaint letter received are divided into three categories i.e Category-A, Category-B and Category-C. In category “A” problems/issues relating to environmental accidents, wide spread pollution, VIP reference, issues raised by major NGOs and Environmental Associations, complaint made by Court, Government Offices on the said issues, complaints relating to 17 categories of highly polluting industries and complaints relating to disposal of hazardous chemical and hazardous waste disposal. Category “B” includes issues relating to pollution problem but are of limited nature, while Category “C” includes complaints not relevant to the Board, issues of public nuisance and other miscellaneous complaints.
