CONSENT TO ESTABLISH

All the prospective entrepreneurs are required to obtain the consent of the Board to establish an industrial plant as stipulated under Section 25 and 26 of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under Section 21 of Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The Board has prescribed two types of application forms for industries with investment less than Rupees sixty lakhs and industries with investment above Rupees sixty lakhs. The application form in triplicate accompanied by the required documents should be submitted to the concerned Regional Office/Head Office of the Board. The consent to establish shall be issued by the competent authority within the specified time frame after thorough scrutiny, site inspection etc. The “Internal Consent Committee” considers the respective proposals and decision for grant/refusal of consent to establish are taken.
