Explanation : -

1. Average employment means, the average per-day of the total employment of the mine during the preceeding quarter (obtained by dividing the number of man days worked by the number of working days).
2. Mechanised mine means, a mine whether underground or open cast where operat8ions of drilling blast hiles, leading transportation, haulage and hoisting are also carried out by mechanical means.

Each application seeking consent to operate shall be supported with an undertaking indicating the employment status as per the above explanation in para(a) along with requisite fee in Pollution Control Board, Orissa, Bhubaneswar.
