Public Awareness Programmes during 2009-10

The Board observed the International Coastal Clean-up Day during September, 2008 and 2009 on the Sea Beach at Puri for creation of mass awareness on the protection and management of environment by involving Eco Clubs of different schools, District Administration, Puri Municipality, Red Cross Society and local NGOs. A signature campaign has also been launched by the Board on the occasion.

 

Awareness programme on environmental issues has been conducted on the day of Car festival through road side campaign and through Prasar Bharati (Board Casting Corporation of India).

An awareness camp on vehicular pollution check up was conducted by the Board involving a NGO at Vanivihar Square, Bhubaneswar during celebration of the World Environment Day on 5th June, 2009.
